Ammonite Bar Necklace in Sterling Silver

The ammonite fossil bar necklace is truly one of a kind. The ammonite fossil features one half of the bisected shell set in a custom-made bezel with an open back to appreciate nature's design in its whole. The open spaces are filled with crystals; a natural process from water with dissolved minerals see in to the hollow chambers of the buried mollusk shell. Over millions of years the minerals grow into solid crystals in their new home. A process called mineral replacement. 

This necklace features a curved bar to comfortably rest on your neck. The bar has individually soldered pebbles of silver. The 18 inch sterling chain has a lobster claw clasp to secure your piece.

The bar spans 3 inches across. The pendant is an 1 1/4 long.
